Jessie Raman
Asst. Coach: 12 BLACK
Jessie arrives at ITVC with five years of coaching experience, and currently holds the position of JV assistant coach at Bishop Blanchet HS. She is the assistant coach for ITVC’s 12 Black team for the 2012 club season and holds a USAV IMPACT certification.
Jessie played her high school volleyball at Bishop Blanchet where she was named MVP in 2001. Her club playing experience consisted of competing for the Space Needle Volleyball Foundation before assuming a role as a member of the WSU women’s club volleyball team while in college.
While coaching, Jessie incorporates the following coaching philosophy: “Volleyball provides an avenue for young girls to grow in leadership, communication and relationship skills. When girls compete within a team they learn to trust each other and achieve personal and group goals. As a coach I strive to take every opportunity during practice and tournaments, both on and off the court, as an opportunity to teach and help young athletes grow as individuals and within a team setting.”
Jessie earned a B.S. in Biology and a Secondary Teaching Certificate from WSU in 2007. She followed that by earning a Master’s of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Seattle Pacific University in 2011. She is currently a 7th and 8th grade science teacher while also enjoying and having fun being a big Cougs fan!
