Paulette Hoffman

Asst. Coach: 15 BLUE

As an assistant coach with the 15 Blue team this season, it is certain that Paulette will make a big impact with her many years of coaching experience (15 years at the high school level, 4 years at the club level). As she is the current JV Head Coach at Bellevue Christian, Paulette also has experience both as an assistant and head coach at the U12’s club level.  She is USAV IMPACT certified.

Paulette’s coaching philosophy includes the following:  ”To instill a love for the game of volleyball in every player while learning how to play the game.  It is important for players to become confident, technically sound players.”

Paulette is a graduate of the University of Washington with a B.A. in Mathematics/Computer Science. Additionally, she also graduated from UW’s School of Education, of which has led to her 20+ years of teaching Math at the middle school level.  Paulette also earned a NILD certification and has been working with learning disabled individuals for five years.  Although an avid tennis player in high school, upon beginning her undergraduate education, Paulette walked on to the women’s volleyball team at Northwest College (now known as Northwest University) and competed for three seasons as the program’s starting setter.

Paulette enjoys reading in her spare time, and also watching her two children (ages 14 and 16) play volleyball, softball, baseball, and run cross-country.  Her daughter Katie is a current member of ITVC’s 15 Blue team.
