Four ITVC teams traveled to Reno for the second weekend of the Far Wester Qualifier, finishing a strong weekend of competition by making a statement in the final results.  Three teams bettered their tournament opening seed, all with opportunities on the second day of the event to move into the gold bracket.  After some late pool assignment changes, the 18Black team opened up as the #16 seed overall, finishing the weekend 11th after losing a tough Silver Bracket semi-final match on Sunday to close out the event.  The 17Black team was assigned the #17 seed overall entering the tournament and finished 13th overall after winning their pool on day one before losing a tough crossover match on Saturday.  The 16Black team made the biggest gains from their opening day seed.  They entered the event seeded at #78 overall and followed that by playing some of their best volleyball of the season to finish 37th, including a convincing win over the top seed in their day two pool.  The 15Black team competed in the 15Open bracket and put up a tough fight, entering the event as the #20 seed overall, finishing 21st at the conclusion of Sunday’s bracket play.

The results from the Far Western Qualifier are a great example of the consistent hard work of our coaches and athletes, with great progress and improvements being made from week to week.  Thanks to all the support or our team chaperones and parents that made the trip!
