Power League #2 arrives this weekend with U14 and u18 age divisions competing on Saturday 2/5/12, while the U12, U15, and U16 age groups will play on Sunday (2/5/12).
Saturday (2/4/12)
In the U14 division, both the 14 Black and 14 Blue teams will compete in Flight #2 at Five 12 Courts (Puyallup, WA) with play starting at 9:00am. The 13 Black team will compete in Flight #4 at Black Hills High School (Tumwater, WA) with competition beginning at 8:00am.
ITVC’s 12 Black team will play in Flight #1 of the U12 division at Curtis High School (University Place, WA). Play begins at 8:00am.
In the U18 division, the 18 Black team will take on teams in Flight #1 at Fife High School (Fife, WA), while the 17 Black team will compete in Flight #3 at Impact Sports Academy (University Place, WA). Both facilities will begin play at 8:00am.

Sunday (2/5/12)
Both the 15 Black and 15 Blue teams will compete in Flight #1 of the U15 division at Washington High School (Tacoma, WA), which will begin at 8:00am.
The 16 Black team will compete in the U16’s Flight #4 at Juanita High School (Kirkland, WA), also scheduled to begin at 8:00am.

ITVC’s 15 Black, 15 BLue and 16 Black teams competed in Power League #1 this past Sunday. Both 15’s teams competed in the same pool of Flight #1 at Jackson High School. 15 Black finished the pool 2-1, while 15 Blue finished at 1-2. It was a great battle in their head-to-head match as 15 Blue prevailed with a very close 2-1 set victory. 15 Black proceeded to finish 2nd on the day, while 15 Blue finished 5th, ensuring they will both remain in Flight #1 for Power League #2 this coming weekend.
The 16 Black team will move up to Flight #4 after their 4th place finish in Flight #5. They finished 2nd in their pool, followed by two tough losses to round out the day. With the top four U16 teams advancing to the Platinum division, four teams in each Flight will then move up to a higher Flight for Power League #2.

ITVC’s U15 and U16 teams will compete this coming weekend in their respective Power League #1 events. Both 15 Black and 15 Blue found early season success during the Power League Seeding Day event earlier this month, placing them in the top flight. Both 15 Black and 15 Blue will compete in Pool A of Flight #1 at Jackson High School (Mill Creek, WA) starting at 8am this Sunday (1/29/12).
The 16 Black team will also compete on Sunday in Flight #5 (Pool A) in the U16 age group at Curtis High School (University Place, WA) on court #3. Play beings at 8:00am. *Please note that Flight #5 for the U16 age group will be divided at two sites for pool play, with Pool A at Curtis High School and Pool B at Curtis Junior High (court #3).

Due to the weather conditions throughout the area, all ITVC practices have been canceled for Thursday 1/19/12.
The Puget Sound Region office has said they will assess the weather and make a decision about upcoming Power League events for this coming weekend later this week.
The Oregon MLK Classic tournament is a favorite among many, played at the Moshofsky Sports Center on the campus of the University of Oregon. Three ITVC teams are making final preparations for the annual early-season trip to Eugene, OR for their first multi-day event. ITVC’s 16 Black, 17 Black, and 18 Black teams will compete against some of the northwest region’s best athletes and teams this coming Saturday-Monday.

ITVC saw eight of nine teams compete this past weekend as part of the Puget Sound Region’s Power League Seeding Day. The completion of play determined the the seeds and “Flight” assignment for the Power League #1 event later this month.
The biggest story of the weekend belongs to the 15 Blue team as they entered the seeding day competition seeded #14 overall. They competed very hard and finished the day as the U15 Power League’s #4 seed overall, joining ITVC 15 Black as one of the eight teams that will begin Power League play in Flight #1 at the end of January.

ITVC coaches and athletes have been training hard and patiently waiting for tournament play to get under way for the 2012 club season. It all begins this weekend with the Puget Sound Region Power League “Seeding Day”, with four divisions set to compete to determine the divisions and pools for the Power League #1 event taking place later this month.
Below are links to the initial pools set for the first round of each age division. The U14 division will compete on Saturday, followed by U15, U16, and U18 on Sunday.

The MLK weekend is just around the corner and all ITVC teams will be competing in MLK multi-day events. ITVC’s 16Black, 17Black, and 18Black teams will once again be in Eugene, OR for the U of O MLK Classic, while all remaining ITVC teams will remain in the local area to play in the NW Jrs. MLK Tournament.
January concludes with Power League #1 se to take place over the last two weekends. ITVC’s 12Black team will see their first Power League competition on January 21st, while the 13Black, 14Black, 14Blue, 17Black and 18Black teams will compete on January 22nd. The remaining teams, 15Black, 15Blue, and 16Black, will conclude Power League #1 action on January 29th.

A complete January calendar is now available online. The competitive schedule begins in early January with the start of the PSR Power League, followed by the first multi-day events of the season during the MLK weekend. The 16 Black, 17 Black, and 18 Black teams will travel to Eugene, OR to participate in the U of O MLK event, while all other ITVC teams will be competing locally that weekend.
