After four rounds of Power League play, eight ITVC teams earned their way into the Puget Sound Region’s 2012 Bid Tournaments set to take place next month.  Only one other PSR club had as many teams qualify across all age groups.

ITVC 18Black’s Allie Hadley recently claimed the top spot on the leader board for Washington State high school female javelin throwers at a recent event in held in Pasco Invitational.  Hadley, a libero and setter for the 18Black team, attends Bothell High School and will take her talents to DIII powerhouse Cal Lutheran next year where she will compete in both volleyball and track & field.

ITVC will have three teams competing in the Skagit Valley’s annual Tulip Tournament events over the next two weekends.  First up is the 13Black team, competing in the U14 age division this Saturday (April 14).  They begin play at 8:30am as the top seeded team in Pool H, scheduled to take place at LaVenture Middle School.

The following Saturday (April 21), the 15Blue team will compete in the U16 age division.  They are listed as the top seed in Pool C and will begin play at 8:30am at Mount Baker Middle School.

ITVC’s 12Black team will compete next Sunday (April 22) in the U12 division and open up play as the events overall #1 seed.  They begin play at 9:00am at Mount Baker Middle School.

The Puget Sound Region is hosting the final event of the Power League Series over the next two weekends, all leading to the culminating regional championships and bid tournament for each age group later in April and May.

First up are the U14 and U18 divisions scheduled to compete Saturday, April 7th.  The following are ITVC teams represented in these age groups and their respective locations:

The April 2012 calendar is now available.

April brings the final round of Power League play for all ITVC teams, as well as the Far Western Qualifier in Reno, Nevada for select teams.

Five ITVC teams competed at Pacific Northwest Qualifier #1 this past weekend in Spokane, Washington. Both the 14Black and 14Blue teams advanced to Group #1 of the 14 Club division for day two of competition, concluding the weekend in the Silver Bracket and finishing 14th and 17th respectively in the final overall standings.  In the 13 Club division, the 13Black team advanced to the Bronze Bracket and finished the weekend in 18th place overall.  The 12Black team finished with a 6-3 overall record and in 18th place of the 12 Club division, while the 16Black team finished in 29th place of the 16 Club division.

PNQ Weekend #2 is this coming weekend with the four remaining ITVC teams competing for a qualification bid to the USA Volleyball Girls’ Junior National Championships.  The 18Black team opens up play in the 18 Open division on Friday as the 20th overall seed.  The 17Black team begins play Friday afternoon as the #3 seed overall in the 17 Club division.  The 15Black team will be participating in the 15 Open division and begins the weekend seeded #12 overall seed, while 15Blue opens the tournament as the #5 overall seed in the 15 Club division.

ITVC will have five teams competing during week #1 of the Pacific Northwest Qualifier in Spokane, WA this coming weekend.  The first round of pool play begins on Friday (March 23) with bracket play taking place on Sunday (March 25) to close out the event.  The following is information for the five ITVC teams playing this weekend:

The 16Black team is set to take on the competition at the U16 Division I Domino’s Pizza Tournament this Saturday, March 17th. The field consists of 12 teams and the tournament is a single-day event to be held at Franklin Pierce High School.

The 15Black team, fresh off of their Seattle University Tournament U16 championship will next be participating in the Sports For Youth U18 tournament at Highline Community College on Sunday, March 18th.
