In her 15 years of coaching experience, Amanda has coached a variety of age levels including college. She played two years at Bellevue College, then coached for the next 2 seasons. She was fortunate enough to be able to return to her high school alma matter, Issaquah High School, coach the Junior Varsity team for 3 years and then stepped into the role as the program director and head coach. She coached the Varsity team for 6 years and decided to take a break from coaching high school so that she could enjoy some family time. She is the current head coach and program head at Tahoma High School.

Every year she looks forward to continuing our team equals family culture that fosters an environment that is safe, fun, competitive and allows our athletes to grow athletically and as individuals. While everyone loves to win she believes that for an athlete to define success, it’s not by wins and losses, but by their personal and team growth on and off the court.

In addition to Amanda’s love for the sport, she believes that family comes first. When she isn’t coaching or playing herself, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Ryan, boys, Kai and Wyatt, and German Shepherds Ria and Di Di. As a family they like to get outside and go on adventures. They currently reside in Enumclaw.
